News: The LEGO Lamborghini Sian is the Christmas Present to get

At the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, Lamborghini unveiled their first hybrid supercar; the Lamborghini Sian. Just 63 examples will be made at a cost of $3.7 million USD each. But if you’re not one of the lucky ones to get the real-life car, you can spend your money on a scale model of one.

The Lego Lamborghini Sian is the latest in their “Ultimate” series of LEGO Technic products following the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and Bugatti Chiron. It is a 1:18 scale model of the real Lamborghini Sian and consists of 3,696 pieces. Nearly every detail of the real car has been recreated from the V12 engine to the movable spoiler and even a little Lego luggage set. Open the scissor doors and it reveals a detailed cockpit complete with a fully functional 8-speed sequential gearbox.

The LEGO Lamborghini Sian measures 5″ tall, 23″ long and 9″ wide making it a fairly large collectable piece. Speaking of collectable, you also get an exclusive collectors’ booklet featuring comprehensive building instructions, images and behind-the-scenes interviews from the two teams that worked on this project: the LEGO Group and Automobili Lamborghini.

The LEGO Lamborghini Sian will first be available in LEGO stores and on their website starting June 1st, 2020 with other retailers on August 1st, 2020. But be prepared to pay a hefty lump of money for it as it costs $489.99 CAD ($379.99 USD). This makes the LEGO Lamborghini Sian more expensive than the LEGO Bugatti Chiron which ironically is the same for the real-life cars.
