The 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray produces 495hp and 470lb-torque and is equipped with a 160hp and 125lb-torque front electric motor. A combined total of 655 hp. 0-96km (60 mph) is achieved in about 2.5 seconds. The Corvette E-Ray primarily still utilizes the naturally aspirated V8 power with the help of the electrified motor. It is equipped with a 6.2L LT2 Small Block V8. Although it is a Hybrid, it is not a plug-in hybrid, so this limits the electric driving range.
This is perfect for those who enjoy the rumbling sound of a naturally aspirated V8 but also want a quiet car to avoid cranky neighbours. Once you drive over 72 km/h, the combustion engine will kick in so at lower speeds you will not hear the engine. This of course is dependent on whether the battery is depleted or not. The 2024 Corvette E-Ray is equipped with 20- and 21-inch staggered all season wheels.
