At a Glance: 2025 Kia K4 GT-Line Limited

The 2025 Kia K4 GT-Line Limited or (GT-Line Turbo in the US) has a great look to it as it looks quite sporty and just overall stylish. It reminds me of the Stinger, which is also a great sedan. The Stinger, however, was more of a sports sedan whereas the K4 looks like a sports car but doesn’t drive like a sports car. It has quite a lot of features for its price, which is better than most of its competitors.

Engine/Transmission

The Kia K4 is equipped with a 1.6L turbocharged engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. It produces 190 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque so as I mentioned earlier, it isn’t the quickest sedan. It is however comfortable to drive. The base model of the K4 produces 140 hp and it is much slower and sluggish to accelerate. This GT-Line is rated for 9.2 L/100km in a city and 6.6 L/100km on a highway with a combined average of 8.0 L100km. I averaged 6. 8L/100km with mostly highway driving.

Handling/Performance

Although the GT-Line Limited has a turbo engine, it does not drive, for example like the Mazda 3 turbo would drive. It lacks some excitement when driving on windy roads. It feels slow to respond from a stop and overtaking another vehicle is not as quick as you may think. I feel that Kia is trying to give us a bit of fun with the K4 GT Limited while still having the fuel economy in mind hence its lack of power. At just 6.8 L/100km, I find it’s pretty good for a turbocharged engine. Even if you were to only drive in the city, it is rated at 9.2 L/100km, which is still a bit less than its competitors. The comfort of the ride I did enjoy as it absorbed potholes and bumpy roads nicely. This is a great car to drive regardless of its not so sporty feel. It is a great day to day sedan.

Comfort/Interior

The K4 has an appealing look to it. Although it is considered a small sedan, it is spacious for the front and rear passengers and cargo capacity is also generous. Its wide body provides more hip space for the rear seats, which is great especially if you have child seats which tend to be bulky. Although it looks quite modern, there is still a mix of physical buttons which for some is a plus. It is equipped with two 12.3-inch screens combined with so for the driver; all you will see is a large screen taking up half the space. Not a bad thing by the way, just stating. The GT Limited trim is available with a wide sunroof and artificial leather seats which are nice to the touch. It is equipped with heated seats and steering wheel, ventilated front seats, Harmon/Kardon Audio system, around view cameras, & smart cruise control.

Exterior

I really like its great looks; it is sharp looking and does not have a bad angle in my opinion. It is equipped with 18-inch black alloy wheels. This K4 looks more like a midsize sedan than a small sedan but not complaining as it provides more space.

Pros/Cons

Is the K4 GT Limited a sedan to consider? Well, it depends on what you are looking for in a vehicle. If you want a sporty car that drives like a proper one, then this isn’t going to be it. I’ll start off by saying it lacks excitement as it can be slow to accelerate and if that is a deal breaker, then nothing I say will change that. However, if you are looking for a sedan that is fuel efficient, spacious, affordable and has some great sporty look to it, then the K4 GT Limited is one to consider. It is also equipped with a lot of features for its price which is cheaper than its competitors. The Kia K4 GT Line Limited is priced at $34,495 CAD ($28,365 USD).
