The 2025 Ford Bronco Heritage is a great off-road SUV with good capabilities while also being a great day-to-day ride. Although it is bulky, it is not difficult to drive around the city, and it has great styling with a bit of a throwback to the 70s with its vintage look of the one and only.
Engine/Transmission
The Bronco is equipped as standard with a 2.3L EcoBoost I-4 engine and paired with a 7-speed manual transmission. Optional is a 2.7L EcoBoost V6 engine that produces 330 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque and is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This one had the latter. It is rated for 13.8 L/100km in a city and 12.7 L/100km on a highway while I averaged 12.8 L/100km which was less than what the combined rating is for at 13.3 L/100km. Although the Bronco is not available with a V8 engine, it is still great as a V6.
Handling/Performance
There are a lot of great things to be said about the 2025 Bronco Heritage edition that could even be better than some of its competitors. While driving the Bronco, I liked how precise its steering is; it will respond to your inputs accurately. It has great off-road capabilities while also having on-road refinement. Driving around the city is not a problem as it is easy to maneuver. With its oversized wheels, however, you may have some problems with underground parking or even fitting in some narrow streets. If you are an off-road fanatic but also need a daily ride, the Bronco has it all. It will drive just about anywhere and everywhere, it doesn’t matter if the obstacle ahead of it; water, mud, rocks, it will go through due to its high-performance suspension. Now if you want the best of the best, you have to have the Bronco Raptor. The towing capacity of the Bronco Heritage is 3,500 lbs (1,587 kg) which is a bit less than the 4Runner for example.
Comfort/Interior
There is a lot of space in the Bronco to sit 4 comfortably but it is a 5-passenger SUV. There is no wow factor inside the Bronco but that’s ok because it’s meant to get dirty and not a luxury SUV. The Bronco is available as a 2-door or 4-door, and all are removable along with the roof for a greater off-road experience. It is equipped with a 12-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto for convenience. The touchscreen is easy to use and there are no issues at all with navigating around the infotainment system. The seats for the Bronco Heritage are standard as Plaid Cloth materials which should be easier to clean after an adventurous outing. Road noise is evident in the Bronco cabin, but it isn’t super intrusive. It’s just not a silent or super quiet cabin.
Exterior
With the 2025 Bronco Heritage you have the option of choosing the hard top or the soft top in oxford white paint. For the model, you get heritage bodyside graphics, white grill painted with red “Ford” lettering, sidestep, and optional 35-inch tires to name a few.
Pros/Cons
The 2025 Bronco Heritage edition is a great off-road SUV. It is very well equipped to fully enjoy the outdoors while also being able to drive around the city without difficulty. As equipped, the price of the Bronco Heritage is $93,550 CAD ($56,370 USD).
