The 2020 Nissan Sentra has just been unveiled at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show and it has grown by 2 inches in width but is also 2 inches lower than the previous model. Unlike the 2019 Nissan Altima which grew by so much that it is actually bigger than the Maxima, the Nissan Sentra retains its compact car dimensions.
In addition to the dimension changes, the 2020 Sentra receives a complete front and rear redesign. The Sentra now joins the rest of the model lineup in having the same Nissan design language. Apart from the headlights, it looks almost like a carbon copy to the Nissan Altima.
The interior also receives improvements to both materials used and overall design. A 7-inch touchscreen will be the main focal point of the dashboard along with a 4.2-inch digital display flanked by analog gauges for the driver.
Underneath the body, the 2020 Nissan Sentra receives a 2.0L engine with 149 hp and 146 lb-ft of torque; a 20% and 16% respectively over the previous generation’s 1.8L engine. The rear suspension also receives a redesign with a fully independent setup and on the front axle, a new electro-assisted power steering system should provide some fun around corners.
No pricing yet but expect to see the 2020 Nissan Sentra in showrooms early next year.
